Master glassblower Giovanni Battista spent his life pursuing perfection. As a young man, he became captivated by borosilicate: a modern scientific glass which is incredibly durable, crystal clear, and must be worked at much higher temperatures than Murano glass. In 1964, after apprenticing in Zurich for many years, he returned to his home just outside of Venice to open his own workshop. More than fifty years later, his three children, Luigi, Roberto and Monica carry on the family tradition.
Hand-blown by the children of Italy’s prolific Giovanni Battista, each of these stunning pieces bears a unique Italian charm. During the 1960’s, Giovanni was one of the first artisans to take borosilicate glass out of the scientific laboratory and bring it into the artistic world, where he used it to create stunning home décor. Today, his children continue to create innovative designs in this unique medium. Their products have the lightness, clarity, and elegance of the finest crystal, but are far less delicate.

Are any of these colors & designs being brought back to Uno Alla Volta?
We like the Mezzanotte, Oceano, and Venezia. These versions have more designs/details than the current ones. In addition, two of the color combinations are missing.
Thank you
Hi Michelle,
The glass trees you’re looking at have sold out. However, we will be carrying new versions of the Venezia and the Oceano later this year. You should begin seeing them in catalogs starting in October 2021.
Here’s a sneak peek at the other color combos we’ll be offering at that time:
Black & Gold
Snowy White & Silver
Red & Green
Sincerely,
Mary
